This session aims to empower students, researchers, and faculty members
to use version 8.2 of DSpace and the latest RepositóriUM functionalities more
efficiently. It will highlight the main improvements in user experience,
publication deposit, and management, as well as new ways of searching for and
using information that enhance the visibility and impact of UMinho’s scientific
output.
Through a practical and demonstrative approach, we will:
- Become
familiar with the new RepositóriUM interface: structure, navigation, and
the main improvements of the updated version.
- Understand
the deposit and validation process: stages, essential metadata, and best
practices for submitting publications.
- Apply
good deposit practices: selecting the appropriate document version,
licensing, and compliance with embargoes.
- Explore
new functionalities: entity management and integration with other relevant
information systems (e.g. CIÊNCIAVITAE).
Ensure alignment with institutional and Open
Science policies: compliance with open access policies and funder requirements.
